    Any sugestions on how to remove the Flange Coupling from the crankshaft?Are the threads clockwise or counter clockwise? I just recieved the 701 motor from you guys. It looks great.

    I believe you are referring to the PTO. It is threaded on and is a normal right-hand thread.

    Do the old rope in the cylinder trick. Since you have the exhust out stick rope thru that hole.
    Once is pack bring it up to top dead center. OK with a BRASS hammer put BRASS hammer agaisnt one flange tooth. With another hammer at least a 2 lb give it a quick sharp blow. Try it a couple of times if this doesnt work get a torch, MAP gas at Home Depo. Put heat to the flange thread area. Once it gets hot, paint starting to change color, seat BRASS hammer on flange tooth and strick with other hammer. dont forget lefty loosy!

    Thanks for the tips. The coupler is off.I have a question about the timing on the staitor plate. Do you line up the razed notch on the plate with the razed notch on block or is thier something else I need to know?
