What do you recomend when honing a cylinder.
What grade stones do you use do you go at 30 deg cross patern and what is the most you think you can remove by honing without getting distortion.
What got me thinking about cylinder honing was that I was told of a 1100cc yamaha being honed out .004" with no real distortion.
I cant see that being possible you would need realy agressive stones it should be bored then honed.
Bore to size
Medium then fine hone
remove possibly .0002" with hone
Best RPM?
Should be easy for someone who does this all the time.
