My buddy has a 1999 kawasaki stx 1100 di. What happens is when you throttle it slow, it goes as you ease in to 'wide open' but if you try to goose it the ski hesitates then catches, as if the fuel decided to burn correctly. He just bought the ski and it looks new in and out like it was well kept. So i pulled his intake cover and there were lil' broken leaves on the screens not much but enough that the screens needed to be cleaned and so did the intake housing which had pieces of micro leaves. After all that cleaning it still hesistated---MY MILLION DOLLAR question is if any parts of the leafs got sucked in how could it effect burning of the fuel or is it possible?? I also changed the fuel filter and cleaned out his tank and fuel lines.
