I received my new engine last week and will get a chance to install it starting Monday:emoticont Hopefully I'll be on the water this coming weekend to start the break-in.
I didn't order the SBT break-in oil, so can anyone recommend an oil to use? My understanding is to NOT use synthetic during the break-in period. Is this correct? I have Evinrude XD25 (TCW3) dino-oil that I use in my outboard. Is that okay to use or should I look for something else?
I will be going premix with this engine, so I'm aware that I should use 40:1 after the break-in and I will be using Penzzoil 100% synthetic as well.
