GTX 4-Tec problem
I am only getting 47mph out of my ski and it should be pulling about 58-60 mph (GTX 4-tec 2002). I assume its the OPAS not lifting up. Does anyone know at what RPM or Speed the OPAS is deployed? And would it be possible to check the opas whilst using the ski (ie. touch the opas paddle and see if it retracts as speed increases?)
Another problem is maybe i'm thinking the speedo is not working correctly, i was watching it the other day and it displayed 48 mph then moved to 54,mph in an instant. Is it maybe a 'sticky' needle in the speed display?
I was checking under the ski today as well and there is significant corrosion on the drive shaft of the ski and mild corosion on the intake grate side of the impeller. Would this explain any loss of top end speed?
