    When I pull the trigger it does act like it's not getting fuel, and bogs. then it will take off and run fine, then maybe 5 - 10 seconds it will do it again then take off again and run fine. It does seem to be pulling (pushing) the whole time just bogging. I did notice after watching the carb video that I missed the small clear oval check valve on the pump side. I fixed that and will test it again this afternoon. When I need to replace the wear ring I'll be sure to get those tips from you. thanks for all the help....

      The surging sounds so fuel restriction related. Let us know how the test goes.

      Next step would be to bypass the fuel selector valve and water bowl completely and run a line straight from the tank to the carb.

        well I've replaced the selector valve and all the fuel lines, bypassed the filter/water saparator and it still has the problem. It akcts like like it's flooding out or choked, once the rpm's pass a certain point it acts like nothing's wrong. The only thing I didn't do was set the "pop off" as I don't have a guage. Next I guess I'll take the carbs off and have a shop set them. I used the same spring as I did on my waverunner and that ones running fine. I running out of options

          I am having a similar issue, runs very slauggish sometimes it wont go past idle...once i get it to about 3.5 RPMS i picks up as if nothing is wrong and runs great.

          I pulled my seat off to look at what could be going on, so i decided to try and ride it with the seat off. To my surprise it ran as if nothing was wrong, picked up as expected.

          So two things here could be the problem, it isnt getting enough AIR (which isnt very likely) or you have an Exhaust leak.

          I am leaning towards the exhaust, i found a hole in my exhaust and had it welded today, i will be checking the performance over the weekend....

            how big was the hole and where was it. I have a parts"Ski" so I can replace something if I need to. The exhaust is the only thing I didn't think of but I guess I better check it. The "pop off" is at 30 psi with a 2.0 N&S, and everything else looks fine. I'm hoping I dont'' have to take it to the shop....we'll find out tomorrow.

              The hole was more like a crack, looked like someone tried to use a putty to fix it the first time and that finally gave away.

              I had it drilled out and repaired, im thinking this crack caused enough exhaust buildup to kill it when you try to take off, then as it gains momentum the air is being circulated more and this flushes it out and then it rides like its supposed to.

              All compressions are correct, im hopeing this fix will do it.

                checked mine for visable holes or damage but found none. The mechanic at the shop sez the problem sounds like fuel so hopefully setting the pop off will fix it. I also noticed the the elec. box wasn't all the way closed, maybe a little moisture got in and messed with that, we'll see today..

                  I set the pop off to 30 psi on both carbs with a 2.0 N&S. now she's running great, however, it's hard to start and sometimes dies after you "chop" the throttle. My carb kit didn't come with a new N&S so I'm going to get new ones and adjust the pop off. Would a bad or leaking N&S cause it to be hard to start?

                      that's kind of what I figured so I ordered new ones today. I'm new to the water crafts so I'm still learnin. These carbs are way diff. from my Harley, or dirt bikes. Thanks for the help
