  • Sea Doo GS Pump and Cone Rebuild

Hello, I'm in the process of rebuilding the pump in my 2000 Sea Doo GS. So far things are going OK. This is the first time I'm trying this. When I took the cone off the pump and drained the oil, the plastic pusher piece came out of the cone. I've been trying to compare it to the diagrams in the service manual and pictures I see online, but it doesn't look the same. I've attached two pictures of the inside of the cone and the plastic piece. The problem I'm having is with the spring. As you can see, there is a black plastic piece attached to the spring that moves vertically. The pusher piece appears to fit into the square hole in the center. But it doesn't provide and force to hold the pusher against the impeller shaft. Is there something wrong here? Any help would be appreciated.

    Chad
