2001 GTX-di turns over, won't start

starter cranks and cranks. unclear if there is spark. electrical connections appear ok. battery is fine, new. any suggetstions?:(

Check for spark! Check for fuel (do you hear the pump come on when you plug in the key?).

Take it to a dealer, have them hook it to BUDS

cool. fuel pump was hummed up just fine. both plugs sparked like crazy. the insulating cover on the spark plug cap on the rear cylinder was creased a bit as if it had been pinched during plug installation. I think it my have prevented spark or, perhaps prevented good compression. Either way, checking the spark and re-installing plugs definitely fixed the problem.
