Just got my new (rebuilt) impeller from SBT. Out of the box it looks beautiful. However, when I went to install it, it just fell down into the pump.
I also ordered a new wear ring to install at the same time. When I installed it, it also just dropped right in. Pushed it in with finger pressure only.
The ID of the wear ring is running 6.137". My old impeller OD is 6.126".
The new impeller I received today is 6.104". Owners manual says clearance shouldn't exceed .014" and I am at .0165" right out of the box. I feel the clearance on this is way to much. Am I right or is this just fine?
What is correct do I need to send impeller back or do I need to get a new wear ring sent out.
Sorry for post, just got home from work and was trying to assemble when I found this. I tried to call SBT but they closed 5 minutes ago.
Was wanting to build to ride tomorrow, but not sure if I should now.
