The SBT tech department recommends when removing and installing a watercraft battery that this procedure be followed. Removing: disconnect the negative cable first then the positive. Installing: positive cable first and then the negative cable. Any time you charge a watercraft battery, you should remove it from the watercraft and place it on a work bench to charge using nothing larger then a 2 amp charger. Remember to loosen the vent caps on the battery while charging.
