  • YPVS POWER VALVES xl800 2001

The kids were riding the waverunner and the low oil alarm sound and the waverunner went to 10 miles a hour on gauge. Is suppose to do this? Any way filled backup with oil and the power valves were always in and would not move out to let it rev. Turning the wave runner off and watching it the ypvs valves did cycle. I guess this is the cleaning cycle. Went to the Manual. Found the oil level sensor to be bad.Replace. Checked servo motor for good measure and it was good. Let the muti-functional meter run through it paces this morning and cam back fine. Looking at the prints the signal comes out of the cdi. I think thats right. Any suggestion.

The cdi can fail and cause the valves to malfunction.
