I am a first timer rebuilding a 2000, 1200 suv engine. I am down to the crankshaft bearings, front and back, and both of them are bad. Meaning the plastic ball bearing spacers are all broken.
I can not seem to find an appropriate bearing puller with a small enough edge to slip between bearing and crank. I've read on here about heating up the bearing but unless I get something behind it to pull with, it doesn't make sense. Any advise would be appreciated. I'm very handy and am doing this build probably more for the experience than the results. (Which hopefully will be good!!).
