  • Kawasaki 550 (Stand up) Idle problems

    Hi everyone,
I'm new to the form, and im living in Ireland (Yes, we jetski over in Europe too!) I'm going to buy a Kawasaki 550 Stand up next week, and the only problem with it is upon starting the engine, the revs shoot up. It's a 1991 as far as im aware

Could this be simply an idle problem, ie. Adjust the idle position, or could it be something more serious?

Is the 550 a single carb engine? I know very little about the engine itself, until I take a look at it. I would appreciate any advise you have for me when going to look at the jetski, eventhough I am familar with 2stroke engines and have been boating for 10 years, I am a novice when it comes to Jet Skis!

    Thanks guys
