Hello, I have a 1999 Tigershark TS770R. I really like the machine because of its stability, handling in rougher water. I have been rather disappointed with its performance, especially in the area of acceleration. I have had a dealer rejet the carbs, which improved the throttle response and eliminated the stalling that was occuring. The boat is pretty weak (as I hear TS770s are) from a standstill and its top speed is an indicated 50-55 mph. I don't care much about the top speed, but I would like to improve the acceleration. Would a new impeller be the answer?? Something else???????? Thanks!!!

Your best combo for accelleration is to install an aftermarket flame arrestor, make the appropriate adjustments to the carbs, and then re-pitch the impeller at www.impros.com - Dave does great work. Getting your head machined to increase compression is the next step, but you will need to use 91+ octane gas.
