The manual on our newly acquired 96 Montego says plugs should be BR9ES. The plugs currently in it are BPR9EYA. What is the difference? And should I change it back to the factory rated plugs?

The YA's are special v-groove electrode plugs, and will do nothing for you except cost more.

I did notice the v groove. Reminds me of the worthless "Splitfires" for automobiles.

I'll put the other style in it next time. Thanx Bryan.
