I'm getting ready to reinstall my 1000 triple in my Daytona. I bought the Daytona from the previous owner (brain dead monkeys) who'd dissassembled the entire engine.
In reading the service manual, it says to lower the big engine mounting plate(boat anchor) into the hull and then drop the engine into the hull....whereupon you bolt them together. I'm thinking this will be real awkward. Can anyone enlighten me as to if you can bolt the plate and engine together and......then put into the hull.
If the service manual is indeed correct, an engineer somewhere within Arctic Cat needs smacked real good. I'm an engineer so I can say that!! :D
