Flush Kit?

Ok, Browns Leisure lists a flush kit for the 98 TL1000, but while browsing the old forums I saw a member say that the discharge on the side of the ski is designed to be the flush. Do you have to have a kit or is the discharge the flush fitting?

Got my answer on the year. The port fitting is where you attach flush kit. Make sure to do in this order. Engine-on, Water-on, Water-off, Engine-off. If you done severe engine damage may result. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Is there anything real special about the kit? Could I go to the plumbing section of the hardware store and find fittings to connect the hose to it?

You can get it anywhere as long as it fits.
