There is a water hose that comes out of the engine just above the drive shaft, it is blocked off & I am wondering what it is for, can I put a permanent hose connection on it for flushing the engine after salt water use?

You should have a clamp and a rubber cap there - that is where you can attatch your flush kit.

It does have a short piece of hose sticking out & a stainless bolt stuck into the end of it with a clamp holding it all togeather, I havn't got a flush kit & just poke the hose into the exterior water outlet (by the gas filler) to flush the engine, is this good or do I need a flush kit?
