  • ENGINE DAMAGE

i bought a 99`1100 LI tigershark a little while ago knowing that the engine needed work.checked compression and cylinders had (mag 103psi, center 90psi, and pto 1psi)when i dismantled the top end i found that the pto cylinder had bad scoring and the piston and head were beatup.at first i thought it was a detonation problem, but when i was getting my cylinders ready to ship(to be repaired), i noticed the fuel injecter that came from that cylinder, the little pin or whatever is missing from the end on the combustion side of the injecter.is it possible that this part of the injecter fell out while engine was running and caused all this damage.as for the other 2 cylinders with low compression, the previous owners said they rode it like this for awhile(with no power), could this have affected the other 2 cylinders with having low compression. any info would be very helpful, thanks

is it just the one cylinder and that part of the head that is beat up?

I think I have a good used head. I will post here if I do.
