• checking oil pump

i have a `99 1100 LI tigershark that i`m in the process of rebuilding.what i`m need to know is,if there is anyway to test an oil pump to see if it`s good or bad, because i don`t want to piss 1200.00 bucks away because of a bad oil pump.or should i just replace it anyway?and one other thing...can you premix on a fuel injected engine and do away with the oil injection.any help or input would be very helpful

you can test the oil pump by using a drill and attaching it to the spinning part of the oil pump. You want to spin the drill counter-clockwise and at full speed it shopuld drip oil.

Also, you cannot use premix in a fuel injected ski, you must use the oil injector.

OK, thanks i`ll try testing it with a drill.also one other thing,if you can`t premix how then does the breakin procedure work on a fuel injected model, because on a carberated model i had i doubled up on the oil when i was breaking it in.
