    See this thread to set the base timing on your engine.

    Not all engines need this procedure as they have no manual adjustment possible. If your stator has slots for the mounting screws, you must set the base alignment.

    For Sea-Doo there is an alignment mark at the 11 o'clock screw, for Polaris it's at 9 o'clock and you align the mark with the seam in the case halves.
