Can anyone tell me what the correct rotary valve timing should be on a 1993 657 Sea Doo ? I've been reading the forums and getting a little confused, 130 or 147.....

    I'm using a 159 degree rotary valve.....

    Thanks,
    Skooter

    Re: Rotary Valve Timing

No 657 uses a 159 valve or is timed to 147. What is your year and model? There is an article in the tech section with allt he specs.

            Will a 159 valve work on this engine ? (93 657 XP)

If it will work what do I time it to? The posts above are a little confusing.... one says 130 and another recommends 147... Help !

            Thanks,

                  Re: Rotary Valve Timing

I gave you one answer, you are not understanding it.

Do you understand that there is a cutout size of the valve, and a timing spec - and they are two different things? You need a 147 cutout valve - the valve has an open section of 147 deg. And you set the timing to 130.
