  • Trade-in Value

    Good day. I was told by a dealer that with SBT engine the value of my ski is lower than the average price. So, is this really a dealers trick or what? I just want to trade my ski with them. Thanks Rick

          Re: Trade-in Value

          personally I dont consider a rebuilt engine an added value.
          Especially when I see new engine - 0 hours or low hours I think
          a) what did you do to blow it up in the first place
          b) how do we know you got it hooked up right?

          I cant see why it actually detracts from trade in though. You know if
          you trade it in the salesman is going to brag about how it has a top quality
          waranteed new engine it in...

                speaking of pilgrim motorsports in plymouth michigan also stay away from champion powersports around plymoth i think and michigan powersports in yipsilante and ray's of monroe michigan.... they are all owned by the same guy......got burned big time.......got a bog run around about my titles and then because they don't have an ohio dealers lisence i still had to pay taxes on the full price even though i had trade in...cost me another 150 bucks.....and soon as i got my ride all sorts of stuff started happening turns out a mouse while it was in the crate went to town on my wiring harnes now i still have some problems with electronics which is probly because the didn't reconnect wires in the right spots....shoulda know when bilge pump didn't work i call he said it was bad even though i hook directly to battery it purred like a kitty...finally after much help from others on here and a neighbor who had multi meter we find it was improperly connected which leaves me to wonder what else isn't hooked right.......buyers beware.....

                  Re: Trade-in Value

                  it dont matter who they are dealers suk , car boat ski all of them . SBT gets bad mouthed by most dealers , why would they tell you any differnt , they want you to spend tripple the cost for less warranty and buy OEM { the same OEM that just failed }

                  your better off selling on Ebay then trading in to a dealer .

                    Re: Trade-in Value

                    I don't think that is a fair statement. I have had a few really good experiences with dealers in my life. Granted they are in the minority, but there are certainly some good examples.
