  • towing before break-in period over.

    Hi,

We haven't broken in our new Kawasaki STX-12F skis yet. We only had four hours on them when one of them capsized. This ski stayed upside down in the water until we could get it turned back over. For fear that we had water in the oil, we decided to tow it back instead of crank it and risk damage to the engine. We knew that we shouldn't tow with our skis until after the break-in period, but the lesser of the two evils seemed to be the towing option. My question is: How much damage/what kind of damage did we do/might have done to the ski that we used to tow the ski that capsized? (further info: We towed at about 6 mph but ended up having to tow over an hour before we came to the first boat dock). What can we do to help fix/repair any damage we might have done?

    Thanks!!!
