How hot should your driveshaft and bearings get? After riding, mine seems REALLY hot-you can't hold your fingers on it for more than a second, and even then, it kinda hurts. I have removed my carbon seal and replaced with bearings. I tried like hell to align the engine, but seems like a funky proceedure, with the alignment tool sticking so far out to get to the front where the motor is.
Am I just paranoid? Thanks, Clifton

Yes, bearing carriers do get pretty hot. That is why they need to be greased daily.
