Air Temp, humidity And Water Condition All Factor In To An Engines Performance.also Rider Weight And Trim Angle With Increase Or Decrease Mph. Im Going By An Adverage At Our Location. I Have Heard People Say Their Stock Gp Will Run 64-65 On Radar. Thats Pushin It A Bit. I Cretainly Have Never Seen A Stocker Do That In Any Condition. 58-60 May Be Right For Your Conditions. Anyway You Look At It Around 60 Is A Good # To Go By.

How much does fresh or salt water change the top speed or MPG?

I have not done back to back tests but I believe salt usually adds about 1MPH as the skis ride a bit higher up. MPG? Nada.

I think both the answers are correct.the hulls from 97-99 differ greatly,in 97 you wouldnt get the same results on 10 skis ,as the hull got stiffer in the next years the numbers were more constant.

My '99, when stock, did 60.2 the only time I checked it on a borrowed GPS. Elevation 1034' and glass water at 7:00 in the morning. '98's and '99's are a little faster than the '97's due to the 5 degree pump nozzel

You're right - the 5 deg nozzle was good for 1-2 MPH over a stock '97.

Would i be able to switch my stock nozzle on my 1997 GP1200 to a 98 or 99 5 Degree Pump Nozzle?? and gain 1-2mph?
                          thanks a lot
