  • 96 GTI Seadoo Tuning Problems

I've rebuilt the carbs on my 96 GTI Seadoo. I can't seem to get the carbs tunned. Having two carbs seems to be a real challenge. What steps do I take first? POP Off Presure is 36 to 38 on both. I started with the low idle speed at 1 turn and the high speed closed. I seem to have a very small window of error. It seems to be starving for gas. I have to chok it to get it to crank each time. It doesn't stay cranked for long.

Re: 96 GTI Seadoo Tuning Problems

I used the kit from the Seadoo dealer. I tried a few time to set the lows at 1 that seem to get the best response.

      1. Disconnected the 2nd carb linkage.
      2. Worked with the 1 turn on the low on the first carb.
      3. Finally the ski would idle for a minute the cut off.

stock settings are high closed low 1 1/4 try to keep it running with the choke partway out , if that helps you need to clean your carb better
