  • Polaris 650/750 Fuel pump replacement

    The stock Polaris 650 and 750 pumps were inadaquate for WOT use over time. They did not pump enough volume to supply all three carbs. Most units will burn a hole through the #1 piston as a result of this.

    There are three choices to fix the problem. First is to buy our supplemental fuel pump kit. It plumbs in parallel with the existing stock pump, and supplies more fuel to the system. The kit comes with a new pump, and all additional lines, fittings, plugs and tee's to complete the job. The kit runs $50 from SBT: http://www.sbtontheweb.com/Merchant2...tegory_Code=a1

    Second, is to buy an aftermarket Mikuni triple output pump from your local dealer or source of your choice. It will run you approximately $75 for the pump, lines, tee's etc. to complete the job. This replaces the exisiting stock pump completely and feeds each carb separately.

    Third is to buy a Polaris 780 fuel pump from your local dealer or source of your choice. This is the cleanest option, as it bolts in place of the existing stock unit. Cost will be $150+ for the project.

    Either of the last two option are plumbed as shown below:

    Sorry maybe it just went over my head but, The polaris 780 fuel pump change over to the 750. Is the 780 pump a single out let like the 750? or am i gonna have to the plumbing like on a duel and triple pump.

    Do i have to add any kind of restrictor in any of the lines so that it doent over fuel the carbs.

      The 780 pump is a triple output, feeding each carb more fuel, and independantly. Restrictors are in return lines, nothing to do with pumps, and it's not possible to 'over fuel' carbs.
