  • Tool used with electrical connections

    Hello
I am in the process of removing the hood on my 97spx. I need to remove the wiring from the connectors for the gauges to allow me to pull the wires thru the holes in the hood.

Could anyone tell me the tool required to do this. And how it is done once you have the tool.

I'm referring to the wires that route into the hood and then are inserted into a connectors end. On the connectors opposite end, the wires that go to the gauges are plugged in.

    Thanks for the help.

Using a wire detent tool, you place the tool over the connector and push in, releasing the catches, and pull the wire out of the back of the connector. You can buy the detent tool at NAPA.
