  • SBT Rebuilt 95 GTX

Bought a 95GTX with newly SBT rebuilt 657 (ser4469806). Did the 10 hour breakin according to owners manual. About 10 hours later it seized. The dealer got it back and its ready to go. Do you know what the problem was? Is there something I should do differently?

Typically, the siezure of a recently installed engine is due to the fact that the mechanic that instlled the SBT engine never really figured out what the problem was that caused the last engine to fail, and then solve that problem. Sometimes it is because he failed to bleed the oil system or rebuild and clean the carbureators and fuel system. Be advised, if he didn't change anything this time, and fix it, it will sieze again.

Bill, Thanks for the advice and I'll check out what the dealer did this time. Also, thanks to Julie for the help too.
