I winterized my 04 FX HO at the end of last season. The owner's manual said to add grease to the jet pump through a nipple at the top of the engine near the oil resivoir. It said to do this after 50 hours of run time on the engine and I had around 53. Here's the problem. When I did this, I hooked a standard size grease gun with Marine grease to the fitting and gave it 15 good pumps. Later that night, I read through the service manual again and noticed, to my dismay, that it only called for .27oz of grease to be pumped into the nipple. What sort of damage could I have done? Is there any way to inspect the jet pump to know if it's still alright and all the seals are still in place? Thanks!
