Sleeve

Need to replace a sleeve. Do you have any instructions on that? It's for a 2000 Kawasaki 900 STX. Thank you.

Those sleeves are cast in place. You'll have to have your machinist bore out the old cylinder before he can install the new one.

Thanks Chester, so it's not just pressing it out, you actually have to bore it?

Yup. Some engines even need a lot of special machining just to accept a new sleeve.

Yes, those sleeves have a ridge around them (about half way down) that makes it impossible to press them out.
