I haven't taken the crankcase apart yet - so I can't see. Are the Connecting rods permanently mounted on the the crank or are the bolted on (or removeable)? How are the connecting rod bearings (plain - I assume) replaced?

They are all pressed together, the bearings are roller.

Same deal, last year my motor died, I started to strip it all down and add everything up the total was near the SBT engine, also its just easiser to buy a new SBT with a warrenty, you can save a little cash doing it yourself, but I'd rather be riding than fixing it...Plus if something breaks you can blame sbt... hehehe
