i have a yamaha 701 that will finally [after all these years] need rebuilt,, my question is the cylinder has been ported and polished by riva[ gas pump,, ported and polished] and i do not want to lose this cylinder in exchange for a standerd 701 sbt rebuilt, how do you work this out in this situation? i have no problem with your standerd rebuilds but ,,my clinder in my opinion is better than the stock 701 yami'S,,,my compression is going down and i {ASSUME??] the rings and bore are worn. thanks in advance

Yes, your cylinder is definitely better than our stock ones, and I would not suggest losing it. We couldn't take it in exchange anyway, as we only accept stock cylinders. I would suggest having your crank and top-end rebuilt to maintain your performance level. You could buy one of our trued and welded cranks, and have the top end done by Riva...
