  • water restrictor

    First time posting and i like the forum.I have a 98 gp800 and i purchase a water restrictor kit and i was wondering which exhaust hose do i cut to install the water kit. thanks .

      All it came with was 4 round plug , valve and 2 clamps.No instrutions , i figure theres only 2 hoses going to exhaust but didn't want to damage the engine or cause an overheating problem ,i guess i was allitle disappointed there were no instrutions any help would be greatful.thanks

        Looking at the schematics, you should have your main cooling in line going to the head, then out the head to the pipe, just after the first bend. You have a small hose going from pipe to pipe and the pipe exit line going to your bypass fitting in the hull. You also have drain fittings from your manifold running out the back. I would guess that you want to modify the head to pipe line, as it seems the only water inlet to the pipe.
