  • Polaris 650/750 Fuel pump replacement

    Could this also cause the engine to be low on RPM. Mt SLT 750 currently only turns about 6750. It turned 7250 when it was new. I am running an engine I purchased from you 6 months ago.

    No it did not turn 7250 when new, unless the impeller was changed to a lesser pitch. 6700 is good stock.

      You are correct. I meant 6250 new and 5750 now. I was only off by 1000 - Sorry!

          Yes it's possible you would lose RPM from lack of fuel, but I would expect damage by that point. Do a compreesion check.

            Check your reeds. Take the top of your flame arrestor off and start the engine. If its blowing fuel back thru the carb(s) you have a busted reed.
