Default 96XP primer kit installation question

Do the plastic choke shaft bushings need to be removed from the carb body when installing the supplied carb fittings for the primer kit. If not removed, can the bushing work their way into the engine and cause damage?
    Thanks

No they cannot. The diameter of the block off plugs will detirmine if the bushings need to be removed or not.
