  • Broken exhaust bolts

On a 95 Seadoo HX the exhaust bolts where the pipe bolts to the manifold keep breaking after about an hour of riding there are no broken mounts on the pipe to let it move but the ll shear them off every time anyone have any ideas

Have the impellor rebuilt ( or change the pitch) and install a new wear ring in the pump. Your broken bolt problem will go away.

Also, replace the rubber bushings that hold the stinger to the lower part of the manifold. Those things go out, and so do your bolts.

Removing choke plates won't increase the speed.

Pull the pump and inspect the impellor and wear ring for damages. The clearance should be fairly tight between the two, and no damage to the impellor, front or backside of the blades. OEM pitch is fine as long as it is a stock boat.

The object of all this is to get the motor to run the proper rpm so it will not shake itself apart.

You might want to order all new pipe mounting bushings and install them while you are at it.
