  • xl 1200 npv stinger/water jacket connection

Hi, me again. I've installed the stinger elbow pipe coming off the manifold and am not sure about the connection of the water jacket section to the stinger. The red/orange colored inner exhaust sleeve of the jacketfits over the inner pipe of the stinger. It appears that the outer sleeve needs a collar clamp? if not I'll keep going. If so, how do you get the clamp on/tightened while keeping the outer rubber boot in tact? Hope this makes sense, Thanks again.

Thanks for the reply. I have the diagram and it still is hard to say if you need clamp on the inner sleeve. If you do, is there a method for getting it onto the inner pipe?

Yes the orange coupler gets 2 clamps. You have the outter rubber boot on the pipe, but not in position. Tighten the orange coupler clamps then slide black boot into place and then tighten those two clamps.
