95 spx....should buzz sound when lanyard is removed

i know i have a bad heat sensor.....i'm changing it.....
but the question i have is should it still buzz after lanyard in removed?

It will buzz anytime it is grounded, like when it is shot. That is what happens to them. They rot and ground out to the head, setting off the buzzer.
