  • fuel lines on tank, just to name one prob

ok i have been looking at the microfilm but still can not figure out my fuel lines on my tank 587 spi 96. if i am looking at it from the compartment which line goes in front right back and left. right now i have the line that says "out" has the inline filter on it and it goes to the top of the carb. the hose on the bottom of the carb goes back to the fuel tank but i am not sure where. can yall please help me out. i was having idling and start prob so i asked frankey and he told me to try to clean out the lil filter inside the carb. i did that cause it was black cleaned the inline fuel filter and put it all back together again. of course i also drained and rinsed the fuel tank and checked to see if the lines were cloged which they were not. i did not touch the timing but when it was installed i used a degree wheel and set it to what it said on this board. now the only way i can start it is to hold the choke, let it start and then start it normal. sorry bout it being so long just trying to give all the info that i can. i have had great help from this site and i am so close to getting this thing runnig.

all lines out of the fuel baffle are marked on top of the baffle , the return goes from the out on the carb , the on goes to the on on the fuel valve also doe the res . the vent goes to the vent . when you cleaned your carb did you touch the jet settings ? if so they should be 1-1/4 low speed and closed high speed . set from the bottom out .
