  • Stock Carb Settings

I have what I thought was a '97 SL780 so I adjested carbs to what the Tech Article and Clymers manual said, but it is not running well. Looking again at the Tech Article here it seems that before I adjusted my carbs were closer to the '96 SL780 settings.

I noticed that under the 1997 heading it just says "780" and not "SL780" is there a difference? How can I be sure what year my ski is?

    1996
    SL780 - Low Speed – 5/8
    High Speed – ūm, 3/4c, 1p

    1997
    780 - Low Speed – 1-1/4
    High Speed – 1/8

Look at your VIN tag on the rear of your ski - the last two digits is your year.
