I recently bit the bullet and replaced my '97 yamaha gp1200 engine.
My parts and engine came quick. I have to say I really haven't had any issue getting the things I needed in reasonable time frames and SBT accomodated my 1-day screw-up in returning my core.
I also discovered SBT sells gaskets and other things that are significantly cheaper than OEM.
Finally, this forum/site has been a real godsend for me. I've never replaced a whole engine before and I got answers to critical questions here sometimes within the hour.
The only complaint I would have would be the torque specs on the SBT supplied directions. SBT supplies ft/lbs, and Yamaha specifies Nm -- if your torque wrench doesn't have both then your brain will need to use a little math to convert.
Other than that I don't really have any serious complaints! I'm very happy that my '97gp is running again! Hopefully my carb-tuning is good and I'll never need to make good on the warranty!
Thanks!
