Hi, sorry for my bad english ! I'm trying to find a way to test the MPEM, the CDI and the magneto on this 1994 XP 650.
It is my friend's Seadoo and I'm trying to help him.
The engine starts but stalls as soon as we crack the throttle. I cleaned the carbs but they were not durty. I didn't change any parts !
When I was testing it (with flushing hose), the starter was weak. After some testing, I fund a black negatif wire, in the plastic box, that was melted to the output stud of the starter solenoid (starter side). So when I was starting the engine, I was sending 12 Volts power to the ground circuit of almost every boxes... Even the isolator is melted on the black wire of the magneto wiring harness.
That's why I'm looking for help for testing every thing with an ohmmeter. I do have some Bombardier shop manual but only for 1996 and up. I also have a Clymer manual but testing are not complete...
Any help will be greatly appreciated !
