  • Tigershark engine coupler

I am trying to figure out the driveshaft to engine coupler on my 97 daytona.
I have heard talk of an updated kit for this. The coupler I have has threads and my drivshaft has splines. Can someone explain this to me? And tell me what i need to do to make it work?
    Thanks

    Re: Tigershark engine coupler

The new kit has a new driveshaft with threads at the engine side a coupler with some washers and riveshaft bumpers. Some of the kits come with a new seal carrier also.

The new coupler is larger and is threaded on both sides with a rubber dampner inside. The old style couplers would strip out and the coupler and driveshaft would need to be replaced. I have also seen some people drill a hole threw both the coupler and driveshaft and put a bolt with a nut on it.
