  • Better fuel mileage for GP1200?

Is there anything that can be done without killing performance to 1997 GP1200 to make it get better fuel mileage? It seems as though I am having to put gas in it all the time. I checked the plugs and they looked just right. I have a 96 1100 waveraider and it gets way better fuel mileage.

I hear for 2006 they are going to offer towable fuel tanks as an option.

Sounds like I am going to have to live with it or get rid of it.

And here all this time I thought my '99 GP1200 had a fuel/carb issues, 'cause I have to fill up almost twice for everytime my buddy fills up once. Glad to know this is the norm. I still wouldn't trade mine for his though.
