I have a blown motor in my 2000 GP1200R. I have decided to replace in lieu of new ski.
My goal is to have a rec+ ski that is reliable and easier to access for routine maintanence and adjustments.

    The mods that I allready have are;
    1. D-plate and chip.
    2. Riva ride plate.
    3. Riva intake grate.
    4. Pump stuffer kit.
    5. Riva performance trim tab kit.
    6. K&N filters and outerwear. (came w/ Ski)

This is what i have in mind. Any input will be appreciated.

    1. SBT Premium motor package.
    2. Oil pump block off kit. go to premix
    3. Carbs rebuilt, taper bored, primer kits installed. (By who?)
    4. New power valves w/ wave-eater clips. (Should i go with gas oper. PV?)
    5. Flow control modification kit.
    6. Advent CDI?
    7. Turbo Exhaust tube kit?

What else would I need to make this engine swap project complete without voiding my warranty and still come away with a reasonably fast, reliable ski that doesnt require constant maint?
What should I not do that may be listed above?
If you see somthing that I should or shouldnt be doing please explain. I am tired of throwing money away on these things and ready to ride.

Depends on your overal goal ... don't go half-way in either direction. Your best best would likely be SBT replacement and bring boat back to stock for reliability. 2yr warranty and you can be riding with no serious headaches in 1-2 weeks.

None of those mods sound to extreme most will increase handling and really some will increase reliability.

You mentioned that this machine porpoises alot in your other thread....maybe look into trim tabs.
