  • 98 gp1200 carb setting

    Can somebody give me the stock settings for a 98 GP1200 carbs.

    Low speed screws: 1 1/4 turns out (#1,2), 1 1/8 turns out (#3)

    High speed screws: 1/2 turns out (#1,3), 7/8 turns out (#2).

      Thanks Bryan - another question - 1, 2, 3 is the Mag, CTR, and PTO cylinders respectively right?

          Since you giving good info, could you tell me the stock max RPM's for this boat?

          Lets see if I can't get it dialed in.

            Are these settings the same for a 99?

              Stock RPMs are just above 6800 RPMs.

              Yes the specs are for 97-99.

                Are these carb. settings the same for a '97? Also would they be different if using Vortex flame arrestors?

                  Yes they are the same for the '97, and yes you will need to adjust out for the flame arrestors.
