"straight-thru" exhaust pipe

If I remove the "plenum" on the exhaust of my 1200 XLT, and install a "straight-thru" pipe, will the carbs need to be readjusted ?

I haven't had a reason to remove the carbs (and tamper caps) and really don't want to.

Also, currently have a "D-plate" installed, which further reduces exhaust back-pressure.

Yes they would be.

Forget readjusting. youll have to rejet ia lot cause fuel will be flying out the exhaust ports. youneed a little back pressure just bue to the 2 stroke design
