  • Noob Oil Injection Question

I just bought a '99 Sea-doo GTX Limited. It didn't have a manual with it, and I was wondering, How do I know when it is low on oil? Will the electronic gauge tell me? I don't want to have to lift the front storage compartment out everytime I want to know. The shop manual lists a dipstick somewhere on the machine. If that is the case, will someone tell me where it is located?

    Thanks in advance

    Re: Noob Oil Injection Question

The "dipstick" is an electronic sending unit in the oil tank that lights up a red light on the Multi Function meter in the dash panel when the oil level gets low.

You need to add oil to the tank after the third to fourht tank of fuel if you start out with a full tank. Beware, if you overfill the oil tank it will leak out and make a big mess in the hull. I like mine at about 3/4's full.
